Piles & Capping Beam

Objective

CLL Services & Solutions enlisted the expertise of Adapt to reinforce a residential property in Birkenhead, located on Auckland's North Shore. The primary goal was to install 9 piles and a capping beam to facilitate the subdivision of the residential section. The project also required reinforcing the declining bank into native bush at the back of the property to secure consent for the subdivision.

Scope of work

1. Site preparation

   • Conducted a minor site cut to prepare the area for subsequent construction activities.
     

2. Pile installation

   • Utilised pendulum drilling techniques to install 9 piles at strategic locations on the property.

   • Assembled and installed cages for the reinforced foundation.
     

3. Concrete work

   • Poured concrete for the installed piles, ensuring a solid and stable foundation.
     

4. Capping beam installation

   • Implemented steel reinforcement for the capping beam to enhance structural integrity.

   • Constructed formwork (boxing) for the capping beam.

   • Poured concrete for the capping beam to complete the reinforcement process.
